The Diploma in Social Studies and Counselling Skills is an ideal means to improve your English language skills to a level necessary for postgraduate studies. Many of ARLT Foundation students are Ph.D students who find the integrated discipline approach and reflective writing a means to develop their writing skills.
There are twenty scholarships available for South Korean participants.

Our Advanced English course is taught at mixed levels for staff, students and members of the general public. Participants in the Diploma in Social Studies and Counselling Skills will be given the opportunity to develop their English writing to an advanced and in some cases a proficient level. A proficient level means having the level of English that�۪s needed to study or work in a very senior professional or academic environment, for example on a postgraduate or Ph.D programme.

You will concentrate mainly on developing your English writing skills and have the opportunity to undertake Cambridge ESOL Advanced English exam if you wish or if you have attained A grades you can take the highest level: A Proficiency (CPE) qualification which shows the world that you have mastered English to an exceptional level. It proves you can communicate with the fluency and sophistication of a highly competent English speaker.
