Dear Student,

This is to acknowledge receipt of your registration fee for the Programme in the Diploma in Social Studies and Counselling Skills.

If you have not already filled out an enrolment form, you can do so here. On receipt of your enrolment form, your first module will be sent to you and a tutor will be allocated to you and details on how to access the resource site.

 You will receive by email

•                Module 1  Cultures of the World/Family & Kinship

•                Guide to Module 1 which contains the first assignment to be submitted.

•                Your Student Number.

•                Details of your tutor and student counsellors.

•                Access to the resource site.

When you receive your first module, you may have questions on how to get started so feel free to contact Barbara at barbara@arlt-foundation.org who will be your assistant tutor and will help you to get organised and answer any of your questions and provide you with sample assignments etc.

You have twelve months to complete your course, so you should arrange your assignment diary according to your own convenience.  Do not feel under pressure: if you need more time at the end of your course year, the possibility exists to continue (a nominal continuation fee applies).

-Tutors are attached to various universities and therefore contact with your personal tutor is only possible with the homework assignments. However, for direct help you can contact our student counsellors, who are also qualified tutors, either by email or phone.

Please note: If you wish to receive some help or have any general questions on how to handle your first assignment, you can contact your student counsellor (Tutor Assistant) (Barbara at barbara@arlt-foundation.org  and she will be pleased to assist.  There are always some initial issues you may need clarified.

We wish you an exciting and inspirational study with the International Foundation for the Advancement of Reflective Learning and Teaching.

You can email at any time and we will endeavour to attend to your communications promptly, usually with 24 hours.

Yours sincerely,

William Peeters
